Prescription Policy

At TebaCare LLC, we are committed to providing the highest standard of personalized and comprehensive healthcare services directly to our patients’ homes. Our prescription policy is designed to ensure the safe, effective, and responsible use of medications as part of our commitment to your health and well-being.

Overview

This policy outlines the guidelines for prescribing medications, refilling prescriptions, and our stance on narcotics and potentially addictive medications. By choosing TebaCare LLC for your healthcare needs, you agree to adhere to the following policy.

Prescription Guidelines

  1. Initial Evaluation: All new prescriptions require an initial evaluation by one of our healthcare professionals. This evaluation may be conducted during a home visit or, where appropriate, via telehealth services.
  2. Medication Safety: We prescribe medications based on a thorough assessment of your health condition, medical history, and the potential benefits and risks of the medication. Our healthcare professionals follow current clinical guidelines to ensure the most effective and safe treatment options are considered.
  3. Follow-Up Care: Regular follow-up visits are crucial to monitor your response to the medication, assess the effectiveness of the treatment, and make any necessary adjustments.

Refill Policy

  1. Six-Month Rule: Medication refills will only be provided to patients who have had a visit with one of our healthcare professionals within the last six months. This policy is in place to ensure that your health condition and medication needs are accurately assessed and that the prescribed medication remains appropriate for your current health status.
  2. Scheduling Visits for Refills: If you are approaching the need for a refill and have not been seen in the last six months, please schedule an appointment for a medication review. This review is vital to ensure the continuity of your care and the efficacy and safety of your medication.

Narcotics and Addictive Medications

TebaCare LLC does not prescribe narcotics or medications with a high potential for addiction. This policy reflects our commitment to the safety and well-being of our patients and is in alignment with best practices for in-home healthcare services. This rule also applies to providers with active DEA license.

  1. Alternative Treatments: We focus on providing alternative treatment options and modalities that address pain management and other conditions without the need for narcotics or addictive substances.
  2. Referral to Specialists: In cases where such medications may be deemed necessary, we will refer you to the appropriate specialists for further evaluation and management.
